i might as well be moving into un/moving (singapore) (2020-21) is a series of movement films or abstract documentaries of my projected temporary liminal residence in singapore between late 2020 and early 2021. these are made in the locale in and around the studiospace i am living and working in.
this is one part of a larger ongoing series of movement films documenting my relationship with the space i inhabit. in them, my body interacts with the space sometimes in abstract ways, sometimes in emotionally-charged ways, against a fixed backdrop of the site i find myself dwelling at that moment. the performance is captured on video in a single improvised take, before being edited to its final form. to date, there are films about taiwan and singapore. they are all shot on my portable iphone 8-plus. duration varies.
